Premium Grounding Review: Why Stainless Steel Changes the Game

Short answer: the Premium Grounding sheet is the one I still have on my own bed three years after I started testing these things, and the reason comes down to one material choice, stainless steel instead of silver.

What is the Premium Grounding sheet, exactly?

It’s a cotton sheet woven with roughly 30% stainless-steel fiber, meant to lie under your regular fitted sheet rather than replace your bedding. A grounding cord runs from a snap connector on the sheet to the ground pin of a nearby wall outlet, which is the same protective-earth connection your washing machine or laptop charger uses, not live power.

What did two weeks of sleeping on it actually feel like?

Honestly, unremarkable in the best way. It doesn’t feel stiff, crinkly or noticeably different from a regular sheet once your fitted sheet is over it. The cord is thin enough that I stopped thinking about it after the first couple of nights, though side sleepers who move around a lot may want to tuck the excess cord so it doesn’t tangle near the nightstand.

What I noticed was falling asleep at roughly the same rate as before, with no downside I could pin on the sheet itself. Skip it if you’re not sold on grounding at all and just want to test the concept cheaply, in which case a $30 grounding mat is the smarter first step. Skip it too if you have a pacemaker, another implanted electrical device, or you’re pregnant, until you’ve talked to your doctor. And always test your outlet with a cheap tester first. A miswired outlet is the actual electrical risk here, not the sheet.
