How We Test Grounding Sheets: Our Rating Method

Here is exactly how we rate a grounding sheet, so you can judge our scores for yourself. No lab we cannot back up, no numbers we did not check.

The four things we score

Conductivity: does it actually hold a connection?

We first confirm the outlet has a true ground using a three-light outlet tester. Then we check continuity between the sheet’s conductive surface and the ground pin. If the connection is flaky, the sheet fails, no matter what the packaging claims.

Durability: does it survive washing?

This is where sheets separate. Silver-coated fiber conducts well when new but oxidizes over months of washing. Stainless steel holds up far longer. We wash each sheet several times and re-check conductivity, then score the drop.

Comfort: would you sleep on it every night?

We use each sheet under a normal fitted sheet for at least two weeks and rate the feel, breathability and how much you notice the conductive thread.

Value: is the price fair for what you get?

We weigh price against conductivity, durability and the trial and warranty. A cheap sheet that dies in three months is not good value.

How the scores combine

The four sub-scores roll into a weighted overall score, with conductivity and durability weighted highest.
